Grain Oriented Electrical Steel
Description
Stalprodukt S.A has been manufacturing cold rolled electrical steel for more than 40 years.
We produce cold rolled grain oriented sheets (CRGO) called also transformer sheets. They are made from 3% silicon steel.
Four thicknesses of CRGO sheets are produced in Stalprodukt:
- 0,23 mm
- 0,27 mm
- 0,30 mm
- 0,35 mm
Application and benefits
Application
The main area in which grain oriented electrical sheets are used are the cores of power and distribution (distribution) transformers. In addition, they are used in the production of:
- current transformers
- voltage transformers
- medium and large high efficiency generators
- reactors
- magnetic screens
- wound cores
- audio transformers
Benefits
- Stalprodukt S.A. is one of the few manufacturers offering lasered conventional electro-technical sheets (CGO), with much better properties than this type of sheets without domain refining, being a good alternative to electrical sheets with high magnetic permeability (HGO/Hi-B).
- Low building factor of the transformer core for CGO sheet, especially lasered CGO sheet.
- Wide offer – CGO sheets, lasered CGO sheets, the offer has recently been extended to include HGO sheets.
- High quality of the electro-insulating coating, maintaining a high filling factor, with high insulation resistance at the same time.
- Relatively high value of magnetic induction for CGO sheets.
